grammy award winner cyndi lauper returns to ruth eckerd hall for the first time in more than 2 years.  she’s sold more than 5 million copies of her debut album “she’s so unusual,” as well as becoming the first female artist in history to have five top-10 singles (girls just want to have fun, when you were mine, money changes everything, time after time, and she bop).   her success has continued with hit songs including true colors, and i drove all night.  lauper has also starred in films, on broadway, and on television programs.  along with her incredible musical and songwriting talent, she is also known for her strong social conscience, and has raised money for numerous charities, including the human rights campaign.

the evening & menu
our event begins at 6:30 pm with a mingle and fabulous dinner in the gorgeous dimmitt atrium lounge at ruth eckerd hall.  we’ll start with hand passed hors d’oeuvres of carmelized bacon-wrapped scallops, vegetarian spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce, spanikopita, and portabella purses.   followed by a buffet dinner will then feature assorted cheeses & fruit, crudités with sun-dried tomato dip, capressi, chicken satay with peanut sauce, tuscany beef skewers, coconut shrimp with orange chantilly, and assorted mini desserts.  cash bar will also be available.

after dinner, our musical adventure begins.  from 8:00-8:30 we have the pleasure of opening act david rhodes, followed by 20-min. intermission (during which we can mingle in the dimmitt atrium lounge), then the incomparable cyndi lauper takes the stage.  we’ll experience it all from fantastic seats, in rows 17 & 18!

sign in and floating hors d’oeuvre will start at 6:30, seating for opening act is at 7:50, opening act 8-8:30, intermission, cyndi begins at 8:50 pm.

Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 North McMullen Booth Road. click here for map & directions. enter the main entrance on the west side, where there will be a check in table for us. there, you’ll pick up your tickets, then be escorted to the Dimmitt Atrium Lounge for dinner.

      We have 30 tickets accompanied with 30 meals to be served at Ruth Eckerd’s Dimmitt Atrium Lounge. We’ll know next week if we can add to the dinner portion, however our contract does state 30. Will keep you posted.

      Everyone in our group is encouraged to wear their O&A ringer t-shirts! We’re going en masse – Cyndi will not be able to miss us all wearing the same shirts in the 17th & 18th row!
